SeaWolf Yoga LLC was created by AJ Wolf (Allen J Wolf, II) in early 2007 after completing the 200 hour teacher's training program at Kripalu in December of 2006. In the pursuit of advancing my Kripalu offerings in July 2007, I completed the Level I Life Force Yoga Practitioner training for depression and anxiety.
I have been working in the behavioral health field since 1989. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Drug and Alcohol Counselor in the State of New Jersey, as well as a National Board Certified Counselor. I have had direct experience in virtually every continuum of behavioral health services, including inpatient, crisis, outpatient, partial care, supported employment, mental health intensive outpatient and comprehensive school. In addition, I have experience in both clinical and supervisory roles, and continue to work with diverse populations.
The foundation of my approach is client-centered, believing that through therapeutic rapport, change is possible. This foundation has allowed me to draw from many disciplines including CBT, mindfulness, and skill building areas, such as communication, boundary setting, and decision making skills. Since becoming a Kripalu Certified Yoga Teacher, I became open to the real possibility of encouraging yoga and teaching breath work as a means to help manage moods, sleep disturbance, stress and reactivity.
In February of 2015, I joined Family Empowerment Associates, now referred to as 405 Counseling - providing adolescent, adult, couples and family counseling to empower individuals to embrace the moment and aspire to live the fullest lives possible.
